Our commitment to your privacy
At Stewards Business Capital (“Stewards Business Capital”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) — a specialized financing division of Stewards Inc. (EIN 88-0436017) — your privacy is very important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal and business information when you visit our website or use our financial services, including revenue-based financing, business lines of credit and equipment financing.
By using our website or services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
02
Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Personal information — name, address, phone number, email, date of birth, tax ID or Social Security Number.
- Business information — company name, address, business structure, financial records and ownership information.
- Banking and transaction data — bank account details, payment records, revenue statements and transaction history.
- Device and technical information — IP address, browser type, operating system, and activity on our website (through cookies or analytics tools).
- Marketing attribution data — how you arrived at our website, such as the referring site, campaign parameters and advertising click identifiers (for example, from a Google or Meta ad you clicked). If you create an account, we associate this arrival information with your account.
- Commercial information — services or products requested or considered by you.
- Inferences — insights we may derive to understand your financial needs.

Bank account connections (Plaid)
To speed up your application, you can choose to connect your business bank account instead of uploading documents manually. Bank connections are provided by Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”). When you connect an account, we receive information about your business from your financial institution through Plaid, which may include account details, balances, transaction history and bank-issued statements.
- We use this information to collect the bank statements your application requires and to verify your business’s revenue and cash flow as part of reviewing your application — the same purposes described in “How we use your information”.
- Connecting your bank is optional. You can always upload your documents manually instead.
- You can disconnect your bank at any time through Plaid’s portal at my.plaid.com or by contacting us. Disconnecting stops any further data collection; information we already received remains part of your application record and is kept in accordance with “Data retention and disposal” below.
- Plaid’s collection and use of your information is described in the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.
04
How we use your information
We use the collected information to:
- Evaluate applications and provide funding services.
- Communicate with you and provide customer support.
- Process payments and manage accounts.
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
- Improve our website and user experience.
- Measure how our website and advertising perform, including attributing account signups to the campaign that brought you to us.
- Prevent fraud and unauthorized access.
06
SMS and electronic communication consent
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS or electronic messages related to your account, updates and promotions. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying “STOP” or contacting us.
07
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights such as:
- Access to the data we hold about you.
- Correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your personal data.
- Opt-out from marketing communications.
- Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA) may request access to, deletion or correction of personal information, and may request that we not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Requests may require identity verification.
08
Data security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards — including TLS encryption, secure API connections, role-based access controls and secure document storage — to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
09
Data retention and disposal
We keep your information only for as long as it serves the purposes described in this policy and as required by law:
- Application and financing records — including submitted applications, signed agreements, uploaded documents, bank statements and bank data received through Plaid — are retained for seven (7) years after your application reaches a final outcome or, for funded financing, seven (7) years after the financing ends. This supports the legal, tax, audit and dispute-resolution obligations that apply to commercial financing.
- Account and profile information is retained while your account remains active.
- Consent and authorization records are retained alongside the records they authorize.
When a retention period ends, or when we honor a verified deletion request, we delete the information or irreversibly anonymize it. Records we are legally required to keep are retained for the required period and then disposed of. See “Your privacy rights” above for how to make a request.
11
Children's privacy
Our services are not intended for individuals under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
12
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The latest version will always be available on our website.
